MOTHER NATURE STRIKES AGAIN; CROSSVILLE ULTIMATE EVENT POSTPONED
CROSSVILLE, TN - Officials of the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series and Crossville Speedway have made the difficult decision to postpone Friday's $4000 to win Thunder on the Plateau event. Local forecasts are calling for up to 90% chance of rain Thursday night and most of the day on Friday. "This is a real shame. We really wanted to have this show. But we have been hit hard by weather all year long. We are going to try and find a good date to reschedule it." said Crossville Promoter Lewis Jackson.
"Mother Nature just won’t give us a break. We have had so many rainouts and we hate to have another. But with that high of a percentage of rain we have to be realistic and look out for our teams and fans by making an early decision. It stinks all the way around because we had a lot of really good cars coming and Crossville is an awesome racetrack. But we are going to try and find a date that will work for everyone to make it up." said ULTIMATE Series Director Kelley Carlton.
