ULTIMATE EVENT AT NORTH GEORGIA SPEEDWAY POSTPONED TO NOVEMBER 10TH

CHATSWORTH, GA - Officials of both the North Georgia Speedway and the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series have made the decision to postpone their event scheduled for this Saturday, May 19th. The event will be rescheduled to Saturday, November 10th and will be North Georgia’s Annual Turkey Rumble event. The event will still be a $4000 to win / 40 lap event at the 1/3rd mile oval located in Chatsworth, Georgia.

“After seeing the forecast for the week I talked to Kelley (Carlton ULTIMATE Series Director) on Saturday about looking for some reschedule options. He sent me some potential dates and one of them was November 10th which was already scheduled as our Turkey Rumble event. I thought that this is really a win-win situation given the terrible forecast and the fact that we want to continue to grow that event. So even if by some miracle the weather changes or avoids us it still makes sense for us to make this move.” said North Georgia Speedway Promoter Chip Burke.

“When Chip called and we looked at our options I think it was the smartest move we could make. There have been some events added this weekend that are in the region too. That gets us away from those dates as well so it is for sure the best business decision we can make for everyone involved. The forecast is calling for 100% chance of rain on Friday and 90% chance on Saturday. And there are high percentages there basically all week. We definitely think this is the right call to make.” Carlton said.

In other ULTIMATE Series Schedule news the event scheduled for Friday, June 15th at Eastside Speedway in Waynesboro, Virginia has been removed from the schedule after the sale of the facility fell through. The current ownership has no plans to schedule any events at the facility.
