FASTRAK AT VOLUNTEER SPEEDWAY RESCHEDULED FOR MAY 18TH

CARNESVILLE, GA - After inclement weather postponed the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance at Volunteer Speedway on May 4th officials have announced May 18th as the rescheduled date. The FASTRAK Future Stars Tour will debut as well on May 18th. An open practice for all divisions, plus the insurance test for the FASTRAK Future Stars Tour will be held on Friday, May 17th.

“We wanted to make certain to pick a suitable rescheduled date,” said FASTRAK Vice President DJ Irvine, “With a lot of rain outs this past weekend, we wanted to take a little time to find the best date.”

The FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance will take to the high-banks of “The Gap” to battle it out for $3,000 to win. The winner will also receive a provisional starting spot in the $5,000 to win 2nd annual Damn Yankees 50 at Richmond Raceway in Kentucky on September 28th.

The FASTRAK Future Stars Tour will make their series debut, competing for $800 to win and $200 to start. Any driver under the age of 16 is required to participate in the insurance test on May 17th. All drivers will be required to participate in a test for exiting the car in a timely manner.

AFCO will be on hand for open practice on May 17th and for the race on May 18th. They will have the AFCO Crate Spec Shocks available for teams to try and will help teams who are utilizing the shocks.
