THE STARS OF FASTRAK SET TO BATTLE AT VOLUNTEER SPEEDWAY FOR $3,000 TO WIN

CARNESVILLE, GA - Round two of the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance 2019 season is set for Saturday, May 4th at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN. The stars of the FASTRAK Racing Series will battle on the high banks of “The Gap” for $3,000 to win. The winner will also receive a provisional starting spot in the $5,000 to win 2nd Annual Damn Yankees 50 at Richmond Raceway KY on September 28th.

“A lot is at stake on Saturday night at Volunteer,” said FASTRAK Vice President DJ Irvine, “A provisional starting spot in a $5,000 to win race, and someone can take their first steps into being locked in to the $50,000 to win 2019 FASTRAK World Championship.”

The driver highest in FASTRAK Racing Series points that is utilizing the AFCO Crate Spec Shocks will be awarded a provisional starting spot in the $50,000 to win FASTRAK World Championship on September 13th and 14th at Virginia Motor Speedway. Michael Bland of Pineville, WV finished second at Volunteer this past Saturday on the AFCO Crate Spec Shock Series.

AFCO will be at Volunteer Speedway on Friday, May 3rd for open practice. FASTRAK teams are encouraged to test out a set of the AFCO Crate Spec Shocks during open practice. They will need to provide their load numbers, and AFCO will be able to set up the shocks at the track.

“These shocks are the real deal,” continued Irvine, “they have already been to Victory Lane at Tyler County and were close this past weekend at Volunteer.”

Additionally, this weekend is the final weekend for drivers to use their grooved and siped FT400 tires. Drivers who are not competing for FASTRAK points may utilize any other Hoosier crate spec tire on the front but must use FT200 or FT400 tires on the rear. No steer tires are allowed. Drivers may groove and sipe the harder compounds, but not the soft compounds of the other series’ tires. After May 5th, no grooving and siping will be permitted in FASTRAK sanctioned events.

Grandstand admission at Volunteer Speedway will only be $15 for adults and only $12 for seniors. The grandstand gate will open at 5pm. Pit gates will open at 4pm.
