FASTRAK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP NON-QUALIFIERS PURSE ANNOUNCED

JAMAICA, VA - FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance and Virginia Motor Speedway have announced the purse for the non-qualifiers races for the 2018 FASTRAK World Championship. Based on last year’s car count there will be two non-qualifiers races, each paying $500 to win and $150 to start. The winner of each will have the option to collect the $500 or start at the tail of the $20,000 to win, $500 to start FASTRAK World Championship Feature. The non-qualifiers races are presented by Arizona Sport Shirts.

Last year saw 71 cars sign in to compete in the FASTRAK World Championship. This year’s format will change to FASTRAK’s new A/B Group Qualifying format, which will break out into six heat races. There will tentatively be two B-Mains to set the final spots for the 30-car field for the 2018 FASTRAK World Championship. Those who do not transfer to the A-Main from their B-Main will remain on track for the Non-qualifiers race. The winner of each will elect if they wish to tag the tail of the feature or take the $500 payout. The format and number of non-qualifiers races is subject to change based on car count.

The two non-qualifiers races will add over $7,500 in additional purse money to what is the richest weekend in all of Chevrolet Performance Late Model Racing.

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway is a 1/2 mile dirt oval track is located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA.
