FASTRAK GEARS UP FOR $25,000 WEST VIRGINIA DOUBLE HEADER

CARNESVILLE, GA - The FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance returns to action this weekend with a West Virginia doubleheader. The weekend opens on Friday, August 3rd at Beckley Motorsports Park with the finale of the 14th Annual Triple Crown, paying $2,000 to win. The series then travels 40 miles down Interstate 77 for the 8th Annual UBB 29 Miners Memorial Race at Princeton Speedway, paying $3,000 to win.

Beckley Motorsports Park was set to host the second leg of the FASTRAK Triple Crown on July 27th, however a gloomy forecast postponed the event to August 3rd. Dillon Brown of Gaffney, SC picked up the win at Wythe Raceway on July 28th, in what became the second leg.

Matthew Nance, current FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance points leader, has moved to the top of the FASTRAK Triple Crown standings. Benji Hicks, defending Series champion, sits three points behind Nance in the battle for the Triple Crown championship. Brandon Umberger, Tyler Arrington and Corey Almond round out the top five. The 2018 FASTRAK Triple Crown Champion will be crowned on the front stretch of Beckley Motorsports Park on Friday night, with a crown, robe and scepter. They will also be awarded a Howard Miller grandfather clock, courtesy of NRV Furniture, Inc.

The 8th Annual UBB 29 Miners Memorial Race at Princeton Speedway, honors the 29 miners who passed away in the Upper Big Branch Mine disaster in April of 2010. The race will pay $3,000 to win and $229 to start. Benji Hicks won the UBB 29 Miners Memorial Race in 2017.
