HILTON, JONES LEAD FASTRAK FUTURE STARS CUP AT MID-SEASON

CARNESVILLE, GA - Young drivers in the FASTRAK VP Racing Fuels National Weekly Championship hunt are also vying for the FASTRAK Future Star Cup. The award is given to the driver, who is a teenage when the season began, that accumulates the most points throughout the season. The FASTRAK Future Star Cup is awarded in both the Southeast and Mid-Ohio Valley region. Brent Hilton of Rural Retreat, VA currently leads the Southeast FASTRAK Future Star Cup while Garrett Jones of Buckhonnen, WV leads the Mid-Ohio Valley.

Hilton has captured four wins at Wythe Raceway this season since points began. He currently leads Cody Cubbage of Waynesboro, VA and Tyler Dettor of Charlottesville, VA in the hunt for the Southeast FASTRAK Future Star Cup.

Jones who has competed at both Elkins Raceway and Tyler County this season, not only leads the Mid-Ohio Valley FASTRAK Future Star Cup, is currently sitting in 5th in FASTRAK’s Division 4 standings. Jones is leading Dawson, PA’s Braeden Dillinger for the Mid-Ohio Valley FASTRAK Future Star Cup.

FASTRAK has become a proving ground for young stars vying to further their careers in late model racing. Stars that have come through FASTRAK include Johnathon Davenport, Chris Ferguson, Austin Dillon, Ty Dillon, and the 2018 USA 100 winner, Tyler Bare.

FASTRAK’s Future Star Cup gives the young drivers their chance to shine in the spotlight. The award pays $1,250 to win and they will be honored at FASTRAK’s Annual Night of Champions banquet held in January each year.
