FASTRAK EAST COAST RUMBLE RACES TO COUNT AS TWO TOWARDS WORLD CHALLENGE

CARNESVILLE, GA - FASTRAK Pro Late Model teams who are trying to reach the minimum number of races to qualify for the FASTRAK World Challenge will have their opportunity to make up six of the seven required races on Labor Day Weekend. Each race of the 4th Annual FASTRAK East Coast Rumble will count as two races towards the FASTRAK World Challenge.

“We are following what we have done in previous years, having these races count as two,” said FASTRAK General Manager DJ Irvine, “This will give all FASTRAK members an opportunity to reach the minimum of seven races to compete in the FASTRAK World Challenge.”

The 4th Annual East Coast Rumble will kick off at Beckley Motorsports Park on Friday, August 31st with a $2,000 to win feature. The race will also serve as the FASTRAK Triple Crown finale. The East Coast Rumble continues on Saturday, September 1st at Tyler County Speedway, also a $2,000 to win race. The mini-series concludes with the 15th Annual Pro Late Model Nationals for $3,000 to win at Wythe Raceway on September 2nd.

September 2nd also marks the end of the 2018 FASTRAK VP Racing Fuels National Weekly Championship, as it is the final day to get points towards the championship. The FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance will visit 311 Motor Speedway on September 8th, which will be the last opportunity for drivers to reach the seven-race mark. The race at 311 will only count as one race.

The 2018 FASTRAK World Challenge is set for September 14th at Virginia Motor Speedway. It is a FASTRAK members only race, paying $5,000 to win. The following night is the $20,000 to win FASTRAK World Championship, open to all Chevrolet Performance Late Model teams.
