The premier dirt Super Late Model competitors in the region battle over the last weekend of July and the first weekend in August for over $100,000 in total purse money. “Robbie Cyrus (Ultimate MOV SLM Series promoter) has done a wonderful job with the series and we definitely wanted to be a part of it by offering a provisional to the Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week Champion,” Explained Carl Short, the promoter of the Dirt Track World Championship. “With the series having the last race at Portsmouth, not only are the teams racing for some good money, but that provisional only adds to the prestige of the entire series and definitely gives the teams something to shoot for in addition to the money for winning the championship.” He added.
Each of the Buckeye LM Dirt Week events will be co-sanctioned by the Ultimate Battle of the Bluegrass Super Late Model Series as both tours will bring together the top drivers from the state of Ohio as well as the neighboring states of Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania and more.
