Southern All Stars Set For First Trip to Smoky Mt Speedway June 16th

FAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series presented by Max Fab will back in action this Saturday night June 16th at the Smoky Mt Speedway in Maryville, TN., for the Big Daddy 500, a 40 lap Southern All Star Super Late Model event that will pay $5,000 to win, along with the Chevrolet Performance Series and Kajun Mini Stock Association with their full racing programs.

The Southern All Stars has had six events so far in 2018 and there have been six different winners and this Saturday night at Smoky Mt could be the seventh different winner.

Jay Scott of Fayetteville, TN., is in his first year of touring series racing and has himself atop the series as well as the Cruise with the Champions/Dirtondirt.com rookie of the year battle.  Second place is also a new face in the Southern All Stars this year and that is Mark Dodson of Caledonia, MS., who is in his first full year run with the series and is currently second in points.  Third is Ray McElhiney of Pulaski, TN., in his first year with the series, fourth is Southern All Star veteran Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN., and fifth is Eric Hickerson of Linden, TN., another series veteran, all these drivers will be in action this weekend.

Other drivers from across the area that will be in action include Riley Hickman, Joseph Faulkner, Jadon Frame, Kenny Collins, Tommy Taylor, T J Reaid, Zack Leonhardi, Casey Roberts, Shannon Buckingham, Robby Moses, Billy Ogle Jr., plus many more from across the region.

Pit gates open at 3pm, drivers meeting 6:30pm with hot laps 7pm.
