TYLER CARPENTER SCORES FIRST EVER ULTIMATE MID-OHIO VALLEY SUPER LATE MODEL SERIES VICTORY

RIPLEY, WV - The Ultimate Super Late Model Series Mid-Ohio Valley Region made history on Friday, May 11th at I-77 Speedway located in Ripley, West Virginia with the first ever event in Series history. The Inaugural Mid-Ohio Valley Showdown would see Parkersburg, West Virginia standout Tyler Carpenter sweep the entire evening as the 27 year old in his Octane Race Products / Kryptonite Race Cars entry started the night off by winning the VP Racing Fuels Fast Qualifier award over the 28 car field with a 12.977 second lap. Carpenter then won the George's Inn Fast Six Dash to earn the pole for the 40 lap feature. Carpenter would make no mistake in the $3,000 to win main event as he led all 40 laps to become the first feature winner in Ultimate MOV history.

Zack Dohm charged late, but settled for second ahead of Eddie Carrier Jr Racing #10 as five time track champion Chris Garnes and Mike Maresca completed the top five. Tyler Jones was sixth as Ryan Montgomery grabbed seventh ahead of Corey DeLancey, who was the highest finishing Steel Block Late Model competitor in eighth. Jeremy Blake and Jeromy Misel finished off the top 10. Montgomery, Brock Morris, and Maresca won qualifier heats while Michael Conley Jr picked up the win in the last chance race.

The Ultimate Super Late Model Series Mid-Ohio Valley Region will be back in action again on Saturday May 12th as the Series will travel to Middlebourne, West Virginia to Tyler County Speedway for the "30th Annual Earl Hill Memorial" paying $5,000 to win.
