Modoc Raceway "Jack Starrette Memorial" $5,022 To Win Event Next For The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series
The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series will travel to Modoc Raceway located in Modoc, South Carolina on Saturday April 28th for the Annual "Jack Starrette Memorial". Carolina Clash competitors will battle it out for 50 action packed laps around the 4/10 mile oval all chasing a $5,022 payday. The event will also be co sanctioned with the Ultimate Series.
The "Jack Starrette Memorial" event draws racers from all over the Southeast to honor a great man and who was a huge supporter to many in dirt track racing for many years.
Saturday April 28th race program at Modoc Raceway will include racing in the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series / Ultimate ($5,022), Crate Late Model ($2,000), and Stock V8 ($1,000).
Carolina Clash / Ultimate Events: Hot Laps, Time Trials, Heat Races, 50 Lap Feature
Crate Late Model Events: Hot Laps, Time Trials (Lock In Top 4), Heat Races, 20 Lap Feature
Stock V8 Events: Hot Laps, Heat Races, 15 Lap Feature (Drivers will draw for Heat Race starting position.)
As the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series moves into the "Jack Starrette Memorial" at Modoc Raceway Saturday Michael Brown currently leads the Carolina Clash 2018 standings with 345 points. Ben Watkins (303 PTS), Rookie contender Adam Yarbrough (299 PTS), Ross Bailes (280 PTS), and Johnny Pursley (273 PTS) complete the current top five in the standings.
In three completed events so far this season the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series has seen three different winners. Jonathan Davenport, Chris Madden, and Joey Coulter have all scored victories this season with the Carolina Clash.
Gates will open at 3:00 PM with drivers meeting at 7:00 PM. On track action is set to begin at 7:30 PM. Grandstand admission will be $20 for Adults, Ages 7-12 $10, and Ages 6 and under free. Pit and track side parking admission will be $35 for Adults, Ages 6-12 $20, and Ages 6 and under free. The Raceway only accepts cash only.
