$100,000 in additional medical insurance available for all ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series members in 2018

FASTRAK Companies International, parent company of the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series, has reached a deal to offer members with $100,000 in participant accident medical insurance through Mutual of Omaha. Members will be able to purchase the policy for a $25 premium.

“I’ve worked for years to get our drivers something like this to make the ULTIMATE membership even more worthwhile,” stated ULTIMATE Founder Stan Lester, “This gives us the ability to offer our drivers another level of protection when they are at the race track.”

The insurance policy is available to all drivers in all ULTIMATE regions; Battle of the Bluegrass, Mid-Ohio Valley, and Northeast. The policy will cover drivers at all ULTIMATE sanctioned events, as well as any FASTRAK sanctioned event.

Drivers will also be able to insure their crew members for an additional $20 per person. Drivers will need to provide ULTIMATE with the names of any crew members they wish to insure, along with payment when they submit their 2018 membership form.

“This is big for our members,” said FASTRAK Companies International General Manager DJ Irvine, “Our sport is inherently dangerous, so to be able to put this program in place to give drivers and their families more protection is a step in the right direction.”

The insurance is a secondary policy that will pay benefits from losses or injuries incurred while at the race track, after the individual’s primary medical policy. The policy will begin to pay benefits once an individual’s primary insurance has responded to the claim. The policy also includes up to $10,000 for Accidental Death and Specific Loss which is outlined in the explanation of benefits that will be made available to drivers.
