Princeton Speedway in Princeton, West Virginia is among the most tenured of FASTRAK sanctioned race tracks. Owner Melvin Bishop wouldn’t want the Chevrolet Performance Late Models at his track running under any other banner.

“It has been great from the beginning to now,” said Bishop, “The payouts and benefits that FASTRAK offers can’t be matched by any other sanctioning body out there.”

Princeton first came into the FASTRAK family in 2006 and has seen the growth of the Chevrolet Performance Late Models over the years. The track has become a staple on the Chevrolet Performance FASTRAK Racing Series with two events every year.

“The FASTRAK touring races are always our most successful events,” exclaimed Bishop, “the Triple Crown and the UBB Memorial always draw a large field of cars competing for one of the twenty-four starting spots.”

The Chevrolet Performance FASTRAK Racing Series will be returning to Princeton Speedway twice in 2018. The first stop, as part of the annual Triple Crown, will be a $2,000 to win race on May 26th. FASTRAK will return to Princeton on August 4th for the $2,900 to win UBB 29 Miners Memorial Race.

Bishop sees the value that FASTRAK offers to the local drivers as well as to the tracks in the area. FASTRAK’s tech process and unified rules strive to keep all drivers on the same playing field.

“FASTRAK has been the salvation for a lot of weekly tracks in this area,” said Bishop, “the tech keeps everything fair and drivers don’t feel like they’re being cheated. You see the car counts rise when the FASTRAK tour comes to town.”

Princeton has averaged fifteen Chevrolet Performance Late Models on a weekly basis over the past few seasons, all under FASTRAK sanctioning. Bishop attributes the class’ success to the tech and numerous benefits that FASTRAK provides.

“If I wasn’t FASTRAK sanctioned I’m certain that these local drivers would somewhere that was to race,” concluded Bishop.
