Halifax County Motor Speedway Presents The First Annual "Firecracker Showdown" With The Return Of The I-95 Late Model Challenge Series And More Friday July 5th And Saturday July 6th

Halifax County Motor Speedway gears up for a big weekend of racing Friday July 5th and Saturday July 6th as the Speedway presents the first annual "Firecracker Showdown" with the return of the I-95 Late Model Challenge Series along with racing in Limited Sportsman, Pure Stock V8, Open Wheel Modified, Super Stock 4 Cylinder, Pure Stock 4 Cylinder, and U-Car. The I-95 Late Model Challenge Series competitors will do battle around "The Red Clay Bullring" for 50 action packed laps paying $7,500 to win. (I-95 LMCS: $5,000 To Win + $2,500 Sponsor Bonus For A Total Of $7,500)

On Friday July 5th pit gates will open at 3:00 PM with grandstand gates opening at 6:00 PM. Drivers meeting is set for 6:30 PM with on track action at 6:45 PM. On Saturday July 6th pit gates will open at 3:00 PM with grandstand gates opening at 5:00 PM. Drivers meeting is set for 5:30 PM with on track action at 5:45 PM.

If Needed, I-95 Late Model Challenge Series consolation heat races. Heats are as follows. 8 Laps. 24 Cars start feature. If more than 24 cars; The top 16 are locked into field. Cars 17 place to last place qualifier will be divided into 2 heat races. Top 3 cars taken from each race will fill the final spots and 2 provisional spots totaling 24 cars.
