ULTIMATE NORTHEAST TO VISIT BAPS MOTOR SPEEDWAY IN 2019
CARNESVILLE, GA - The Ultimate Northeast Super Late Model Series is pleased to announce it will be making its first ever visit to the BAPS Motor Speedway in Newberrytown, Pa., next season. The event will take place on July 27th and will be a 40-lap event paying $4,000-to-win and $400-to-start.
"As the Ultimate Northeast continues to branch out after a successful first season, we are very happy to be visiting BAPS next season. BAPS is a top-notch facility with great racing in the heart of central Pennsylvania. We expect a great field and a great race for Ultimate Northeast," said Ultimate Northeast region director Rose Compton.
The event will be the first Super Late Model event at BAPS since June 1, 2017 when Gene Knaub picked up the victory in an Appalachian Speedweek event.
"We are excited to have a Super Late Model race back at BAPS Motor Speedway in 2019. We have been working hard in making this happen and to have the Ultimate Northeast series a part of this is going to make this event really special," said BAPS Motor Speedway general manager Kolten Gouse.
Since Scott Gobrecht purchased the track a few years ago BAPS has become a showplace in the Mid-Atlantic region. Fans who visit the facility this season will see brand new Musco lighting that has been put in over the off-season. A full schedule for Ultimate Northeast will be released after everything is finalized, but the series looks forward to a great season ahead.
