FRIENDSHIP MOTOR SPEEDWAY BECOMES FASTRAK SANCTIONED FOR 2019
CARNESVILLE, GA - The FASTRAK Racing Series is excited to announce the addition of Friendship Motor Speedway, in Elkin, NC, as a Weekly Sanctioned race track for the 2019 season. Drivers at Friendship will be eligible to compete for the FASTRAK VP Racing Fuels National Weekly Championship, a Divisional Championship, and the newly formatted 2019 FASTRAK World Challenge. Any teenage drivers will be eligible for the FASTRAK Future Stars Cup, which pays $1,250 to the driver who is still a teenager when the season begins and collects the most points.
Additionally, drivers who become FASTRAK members will receive $100,000 in participant accident medical insurance. Drivers can also add crew members to the policy for an additional $20 per person. FASTRAK members also receive a discount on safety items from Simpson World in Mooresville, NC.
“I’m looking forward to working with Friendship, the Luffman’s and their entire staff,” said FASTRAK General Manager DJ Irvine, “We will be working on bringing the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance to the track for some touring events as well.”
The 2019 FASTRAK Weekly points will begin on April 5th. Drivers will take their best 15 finishes throughout the year, making their point total towards the FASTRAK VP Racing Fuels National Weekly Championship. The points season concludes on Labor Day, September 3rd.
