6th Annual WIX Filters "King Of The Carolinas" At Carolina Speedway Next For The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series

The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series will make their return to Carolina Speedway located in Gastonia, North Carolina Saturday October 13th as apart of the 6th Annual WIX Filters "King Of The Carolinas" for a $5,000 to win event.

The 6th Annual WIX Filters "King Of The Carolinas" at Carolina Speedway will be held Thursday October 11th through Saturday October 13th.

Thursday October 11th the Speedway will host a open practice for all divisions. All cars are welcome. Gates will open at 5:00 PM with open practice from 6:30 PM till 9:30 PM. Pit admission will be $15 with grandstand admission FREE.

Friday October 12th the race program will include a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $3,000 to win along with Hornets FWD ($500), SECA Open Wheel Modified ($500), and Pure Stock ($500). The Super Late Models will follow Carolina Clash rules. Pit gates will open at 3:00 PM with grandstand gates opening at 4:00 PM. Drivers meeting is set for 5:45 PM with hot laps at 6:15 PM and racing to follow. Pit admission will be $30 with grandstand admission $20.

Saturday October 13th the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series will make their return to "The Action Track" as Carolina Clash competitors battle it out for a $5,000 payday. The race program for Saturday will include the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series ($5,000), MMSA Four Cylinders ($2,000), Super Street ($2,000), SECA Crate Sportsman ($2,000), Renegade ($2,000), SECA Open Wheel Modified ($1,000), Thunder Bomber ($1,000), and Hornets FWD ($750). Pit gates will open at 12:00 PM with grandstand gates opening at 2:00 PM. Drivers meeting is set for 3:45 PM with hot laps at 4:15 PM and racing to follow. Pit admission will be $35 with grandstand admission $25.

The Speedway will offer a 2 day pass for Friday and Saturday for pits at $60 and $40 for grandstands. There will also be a 3 day pass available for pits at $70.

Reminder Saturdays Super Late Model event will be the only Super Late Model event for Carolina Clash Tour points.

Moving into the next event for the Carolina Clash Tour Ross Bailes currently leads the Carolina Clash 2018 standings with 1123 points. Rookie contender Adam Yarbrough (1043 PTS), Dennis Franklin (1039 PTS), David Yandle (964 PTS), and Doug Sanders (958 PTS) complete the current top five in the standings.
