MODOC "CLARKS HILL CLASSIC" NEXT FOR THE ULTIMATE SOUTHEAST

CARNESVILLE, GA - The Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region will make their return to the 4/10 mile oval known as Modoc Raceway located in Modoc, South Carolina on Saturday September 22nd as the Raceway will host the "2nd Annual Clarks Hill Classic" as Ultimate Southeast competitors will compete for 40 laps with a $4,000 payday awaiting the winner.

In the previous visit to Modoc Raceway this season 2017 Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region Champion Tyler Millwood scored the victory in what was "A action packed event to say the least".

The event will make stop number thirteen on the Ultimate Southeast Tour as Kyle Hardy currently sits on top of the Ultimate Southeast 2018 standings with 351 points. Zack Mitchell (345 PTS), Joey Coulter (331 PTS), Dennis Franklin (276 PTS), and Tyler Millwood (268 PTS) complete the current top five in the standings. The Ultimate Southeast Tour has seen over 168 plus drivers compete in twelve completed events with 10 different winners. Michael Page, Jonathan Davenport, Tyler Millwood, Zack Mitchell, Benji Hicks, Ross Bailes, Tyler Bare, Dustin Mitchell, Clint Smith, and Shane Clanton have all visited victory lane this season.

Saturday September 22nd race program at Modoc Raceway will include racing in the Ultimate Super Late Model Series along with racing in the SCDRA FWD Series, Crate Late Model, and Stock V8. Gates will open at 3:00 PM. Drivers meeting is scheduled for 7:00 PM with on track action set to begin at 7:30 PM. Grandstand admission will be $20 for Adults, $10 for Ages 7-12, and Ages 6 & Under will be free. Pit and track side parking admission will be $35 for Adults, $20 for Ages 7-12, and Ages 6 & Under will be free.

Prior to Saturdays action packed program Modoc Raceway will hold a open practice for all competing divisions on Friday September 21st along with first round qualifying for the SCDRA FWD Series event. Gates will open at 5:00 PM. On track action is set to begin at 7:30 PM. Grandstand admission will be free. Pit admission will be $15 per person.

Modoc Raceway currently is a CASH ONLY facility. Personal coolers allowed; No glass.
