FASTRAK Companies Int'l PR **To Media and General Public** By Wesley Outland

TOCCOA, GA - The FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance returned on a full moon Saturday night to the 'high banks' of Toccoa Raceway in Georgia for the $2000 to win 'King of the High Banks' for Round #10 of the 2018 tour. The crowd came out in full capacity to see the "stars & cars" of the national pro late model stage battle the 5/16th mile which was also the 3rd track to host the series back in 2004. The old cliche some people say, "locals drivers don't stand a chance when the touring drivers come to town was no way the truth but opposite when the racing settled. After bad luck for Peyton Freeman, Adam Smith from Carnesville, Georgia was able to hold off all comers, hall of famer, hungry lions and more to get his first win on the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance National Tour.

The race would get kicked off for the 40 lap feature with a couple of local hotshoes on the front row in #14 Adam Smith and #F1 Peyton Freeman leading the field to the start. The start would have Smith and Freeman battling side by side on the opening laps but Smith would clearly on lap 3. Smith would begin to battle holding off Freeman, McCoy, #4 Matthew Nance and more starting his quest to make history in the red machine. On lap 19 battling for the lead door to door off turn three Freeman would hit the outside retaining wall hard, cutting down a tire plus suffereing more damage ending his evening.

The restart on lap 19 would cause a 15 mintue RED Flag period after a 3 car incident involving #D52 Brad Basey, #15 Cody Pritchett and #07 Larry Timms, after repairs all able to continue. Smith would then hold off the like after a few more cautions of recently inducted FASTRAK Hall of Famer #187 David McCoy and #75 Brett Hamm as the laps concluded. One final caution would bunch back up the field with a shot to catch #14 Smith one more time after the USA 100 champion from June #55 Matt Long suffered engine woes. On the restart Smith did a phenomal job getting on the loud pedal and would go on in front of his hometown crowd to win his career first FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance win at Toccoa.
