The FASTRAK Chevrolet Performance late models have provided some of the most exciting and promising up and coming Super Late Model Stars in dirt racing with former winners like Jonathon Davenport, Chris Ferguson, Shanon Buckingham and many others. Even now current NASCAR stars like Austin and Ty Dillon have made their way through the ranks of FASTRAK late models and 2018 will be no different.

Current stars of the FASTRAK Series making their way to super late model racing in 2018 include Benji Hicks – 2017 SE Tour Champion, Cla Knight 2016 MOV and SE Tour Champion, Tyler Bare 2017 MOV Tour Champion, Ryan Montgomery from W, Travis Pennington several time tour winner and Mathew Nance 2017 Most Improved Driver recipient. All these teams are making the transition and even though most plan to still compete in FASTRAK Tour events in 2018 they are definitely on their way to becoming full time super late model competitors and even more so future stars along the way.

“It’s all to be expected” said Stan Lester Founder of the series. “It’s a normal progression of what these young men want to do to fulfill their dreams. Actually it’s a compliment of the largest type. I love to see these men move up and do well. We are very lucky to have had them along the way and even more so they still come back and compete from time to time and that’s exciting for everyone involved”.

“Think about it this way” said Lester. “We have the opportunity to watch these guys grow and learn and become superstars. That’s truly what FASTRAK is all about. Crate racing or Pro Late Model racing would be a better term because so many of our teams do become Pro’s at this sport as they move up. It also gives our fans the opportunity to watch them along the way as well. It has to be nice for our fans to say they knew Chris Ferguson, Austin Dillon and Jonathan Davenport before they became the stars they are today”.

There can be no doubt FASTRAK has become a building spot for these current stars and with the continued young talent coming into the series it looks like there is a lot more to come and the future is bright for FASTRAK and for the teams that follow the series.

“The manufacturers in this sport have been tremendously supportive of FASTRAK” said DJ Irwin General Manager. “It’s a great partnership for them also since in the future as these guys move up, they are already their customers and it becomes a long term investment for everyone concerned”.

It seems as Stan Lesters dream of “let us build the superstars of tomorrow” has come to fruition and continues to do so as current stars of FASTRAK “dip their toes” in super late model racing and also other professional forms of the sport.

For more information on the series please call (706) 567-6037 Stan Lesters direct number or General Office number (678) 935-7304.
