CONSISTENCY PROPELS MATTHEW NANCE TO 2018 FASTRAK CHAMPIONSHIP

CARNESVILLE, GA - Matthew Nance, of Ronda, NC, began the 2018 FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance with four consecutive top-five finishes. He ended the season as the 2018 FASTRAK Racing Series Champion. In total, the “Ronda Rocket” finished the 2018 campaign with ten top-fives and fourteen top-tens in sixteen total races. Nance’s consistency throughout the year allowed for him to build a commanding lead in the Championship points.

“It’s been a great season,” said Nance, “we have worked hard all season long to win the FASTRAK Championship. We had a lot of great runs along the way.”

Matthew’s consistency was highlighted when he became the 2018 FASTRAK Triple Crown Champion by way of a fourth-place finish at 311 Motor Speedway, a second-place finish at both Wythe Raceway and Beckley Motorsports Park. Nance was crowned on the front stretch at Beckley and presented with a Howard Miller grandfather clock from NRV Furniture, INC.

“I’m very proud of this young man and his entire family,” said FASTRAK founder Stan Lester, “If anyone has ever worked hard for a Championship, Matthew and his family certainly have.”

Nance continued his consistency at Screven Motorsports Park on Championship Weekend, finishing fourth on Friday night and scoring a runner-up finish in the season finale. He was presented with the Championship on the front stretch at Screven on Saturday night.

“We knew that if we consistently finished in the top-five all season long we’d be able to have a chance at the title,” continued Nance, “it shows that it takes a strong season to win the FASTRAK Championship. Without my family and sponsors none of this would be possible.”

Nance piloted the #4 Longhorn Chassis in 2018. His sponsors are Diversified Finishers, Shepherds Home Improvement, Crossroads Harley Davidson, SRI Performance, SRI Dirt and Drag, DirtWrap, Simpson Race Products, TruForm Race Products, WP Racing Shocks, and Longhorn Chassis.

“Matthew had a tremendous season,” said FASTRAK General Manager DJ Irvine, “I’m proud to have him as our 2018 Champion. I’m positive he has a great racing career ahead of him.”
